Tim joined Spring Law in 2006 where he has advised SMEs, individuals and investors primarily on corporate and commercial transactions, also drawing on his broad experience to provide General Counsel Advisory Services (G-CAS™) to clients.
After qualifying, Tim practised as a banking and corporate lawyer at Magic Circle firm Allen & Overy, where he advised the firm’s clients on a variety of corporate transactions, including reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions and IPO’s. During this time Tim was also seconded into the legal team at UBS in London, developing a strong understanding of the business’ need for practical legal input.
Tim also worked for nearly six years as Legal & Commercial Director at Broadsystem, a News International (now News UK) subsidiary, where he was responsible for advising on all legal and regulatory matters affecting the company, including business acquisitions and disposals, negotiating client and supplier contracts, implementing risk management processes, maintaining relationships with trade associations and regulators and participating in strategy development and implementation.
