The last decade has seen a ceaseless increase in employment legislation. Whilst we respect the balance of those initiatives aimed at ensuring decent and proper conduct towards employees, the burden on employers is significant. We aim to bring a fair and practical approach to employment law, steering employers in the right direction, and assisting genuinely aggrieved employees.

We advise on all areas of employment law, which includes:

  • Strategic advisory – covering recruitment, compliance, contracts and employment conditions, workplace policies and procedures, the provision of pension entitlements, insured benefits, bonus schemes and employee share schemes. We are also widely consulted on redundancies and compromise agreements. We also advise on restrictive covenants, confidentiality, protection of IP and termination provisions generally and on contracts with consultants.
  • Dispute resolution – extending to appraisals of employee conduct, procedural fairness, discrimination and equality issues and disciplinary action. Where disputes cannot be settled, we undertake employment litigation (including industrial tribunal and common law court hearings) and conciliation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
  • Transactional – arising from the acquisition or disposal of businesses and corporate restructuring including TUPE considerations, issues arising from corporate insolvency and outsourcing arrangements.
